FISHING
The fishing schedule, of approximately 8 hours each day; is split in to two sessions – a morning session and an evening session. The morning session typically starts just after breakfast when the guide will be ready to take you on the skiff at around 09.00 until around 13.00 where lunch is served back on the mothership. After lunch, consisting of a salad, cheeses and hams, typically a hot meal and finished off with a dessert and snacks; you can continue to fish until the early evening then come back to the mothership in preparation for the evening 3 course meal.
The Golden Dorado River Cruiser moves according to fishing and also to provide a new outstanding location in each day of the trip and the mother ship always stays on the best fishing locations, being accessed by the transfer boat.
The Golden Dorado River Cruiser fishes a vast delta between the Parana and Uruguay Rivers. Anglers will explore different creeks and tributaries each day on new skiffs. Golden Dorado are one of the world’s most aggressive and acrobatic freshwater game fish. Fishing from skiffs, it is recommended to have two rods with you – 6-8wt with full floating or intermediate sink tropical lines. The skiffs have a casting deck on the bow and transom allowing for (2) anglers to fish at the same time where you will cast simultaneously into small runs, or anywhere water is flowing by or through structure.
The gigantic system that makes up the Paraná River is comprised of estuaries, tributaries, marshlands, lagoons, and side channels. The ample amount of baitfish swimming through these waters provides the perfect food source for hungry dorado. Anglers can move with the dorado depending on where they are in the river from the comfort of the river cruiser.
Each day you will be fishing new waters, working different locations in its various forms, like runs, inlet/outlets of lagoons, small side channels, tributaries bringing bait fish, and on and on. The guides are some of the best in the business and are professional and bilingual
In addition to targeting Golden Dorado, there is also the added bonus of fishing for other area species like Payara, Pacu, Pira Pita, Tararira, the massive catfish Surubi, and Chafalote, all of which provide interesting diverse sport
