We’ve learned a thing or two over the past 4 decades of traveling. The truth is – fishing is about way more than catching a fish. It’s about sharing a laugh with a friend on a riverbank. It’s about trying local specialties in some tiny village you never knew existed. It’s about being humbled by seeing untouched wilderness and the wildlife that calls it home.
We’ve been pretty lucky to have fished some of the most stunning spots on earth, and we truly believe that comes with a responsibility to make every single moment of your trip count.

Over the last 40 years we’ve been lucky enough to travel to some of the most incredible rivers in the UK and Norway, as well as out to pretty remote corners of Argentina, Chile and Canada. We’ve spent our time fishing for Atlantic salmon, hunting down massive sea-run browns, and even battling that crazy dorado – a fish that will have you fighting for breath.
These destinations we offer aren’t places we read about in a guidebook – they’re places we know, inside and out. We’ve stood in those rivers, felt that wind in our hair, and tested out those flies ourselves. When you book with us, you’re not getting some generic brochure info – you’re getting a lifetime of real-world experience.

We take the security of your finances as seriously as we take our fishing trips – and we should. That’s why we’re proud members of reisegarantifondet which isn’t just a requirement, it’s also a badge we wear with real pride – the Norwegian Travel Guarantee Fund.
Why is this such a big deal? Well – under EU and EEA law, any company selling a package holiday (and that’s just about any travel package with accommodation and activities like fishing) has to be a member of its country’s official travel guarantee scheme. In Norway it’s the Travel Guarantee Fund and then in the UK it’s a similar deal with ABTOT.
So what does this all mean for you? Simply put, your money’s protected. If something goes wrong – and we’re not just talking about the occasional thing – if a lodge or a hotel or even an airline goes bust, you’ll get your money back. You won’t lose a penny out of pocket.
Membership to these schemes is a hassle and there are a lot of rules to keep to – so no wonder a lot of travel companies think its a hassle and just try to avoid it. What really gets our goat though are all the so called “celebrity anglers” using their name to sell “hosted trips” to lodges, taking all the deposits and not lifting a finger to make sure the lodge keeps its word. We find that a bit dodgy, to be honest.
A company that is proud to run its business should be a member of its national travel guarantee scheme. We are. It’s not just a requirement that’s been imposed on us – it’s something we are proud of.
